Reinvestigation of Norepinephrine Effect on Isolated Tortoise Atria

Abstract
|
|
|
1) In the isolated atrial preparations of tortoise, the relationship of dose of nerepinephrine (NE, 10-9, 10-8, 10-7, 10-6, 10-5 g/ml) with ccntractile response was investigated.
2) The contractile responses to the small doses of NE (10-9-10-7g/ml) were much weaker when administration of NE was repeated in the same preparations.
3) The NE effect was not affected by difference of bath temperature between 15°C and 25°C.
4) The dose action curves of NE obtained in the presence of ergotamine or propranolol, were large y same as those obtained in the absence of these agents.
